Building the tools to care for your local waterways.

Water Rangers began when founder Kat Kavanagh saw her dad collecting water data about the lakes he cared about. Like many community monitors, he had observations and measurements, but no easy way to record, share, or connect them with other data. There were no tools designed to make this work easy for communities. Together with co-founders Mark and Ollie, Kat built the first version of the Water Rangers platform for the AquaHacking competition, the starting point for the tools used today. Today, communities around the world use Water Rangers tools and data systems to monitor and share water data.
