How to access data

Download a dataset

Datasets on Water Rangers’ data platform are open and can be downloaded by anyone! You can view and download data without an account.

1. Visit data.waterrangers.com
2. Navigate to the dataset you are interested in on the View datasets page
3. Scroll down to the Data sharing section and click “Download dataset”
4. Fill in the information about yourself and what the data will be used for.
   • This is an important new feature that helps data collectors understand who uses their data and share the value of the data they collected
   • If you have a Water Rangers account and are logged in, these fields are autopopulated.
5. To download the raw data, click the “Agree and download” dataset button.
   • The metadata can also be downloaded, including information about the dataset, like contact information and the monitoring purpose and frequency.
6. Your data will arrive in your inbox shortly!
