When you need a clean sample, you need a container you can trust. Whirl-Pak bags are sterile, single-use sample bags, and they’re the same ones we include in our E. coli testkits. They’re perfect for collecting water samples for R-Cards or a lab, and they work just as well for soil and other specimens.
Each bag is made from super-strong blended polyethylene and arrives sterile, meeting U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) specifications. To use one, tear off the top strip, pull the tabs to open the bag, and collect your sample without touching the inside. Then whirl the bag shut by holding the tabs and flipping it over three times, and fold the wire ends around to lock it. That’s it! You’ve got an airtight, leakproof seal that’s ready for your cooler bag.
There’s a write-on area right on the bag, so you can jot down your site name, date, and time before you head out. Pair them with our Whirl-Pak adapter with reacher stick to collect samples from docks and shorelines without getting your feet wet.
