For years, CBWM leaders across Canada have sought better ways to demonstrate the impact of their work and secure long-term support. In 2021, the International Institute for Sustainable Development (IISD) released A Business Case for Investment in CBWM, confirming that CBWM is essential, cost-effective, and deserving of sustainable funding—but that many groups lack the tools to clearly communicate their value.

That’s where Water Rangers comes in.

We’ve built on IISD’s work to create a Business Case Toolkit : a free, ready-to-use online resource designed to help CBWM programs across Canada build strong cases for investment. The toolkit includes templates, tips, and examples to help you clearly show your value to funders and decision-makers.
