Celebrating 10 years of open data!

Water Rangers turned 10 in 2025! For the past decade, we’ve worked with passionate individuals and groups dedicated to taking care of our most precious resource, water. We work together so that every waterbody’s community has the tools they need to take care of them. 

In our first decade, over 500,000 datapoints were shared on our platform from 8,200 locations. Together, we’ve trained over 40,000 people to use our tools across two continents.

As we enter this second decade, we will focus on continuing to gather consistent water quality data and understanding what the data collected is telling us about the health of water bodies.
