Description
Some spots are just hard to reach. Maybe it’s a dock that sits way above the waterline, a culvert at the bottom of a steep bank, or a bridge over the river you’ve always wondered about. Our weighted throw bucket makes it easy to get a good water sample from up high, so you can keep your feet on solid ground while you find out how your lake or river is doing.
Just hold onto the rope, toss or lower the bucket into the water. Pull it back up and you’ve got a sample ready for testing temperature, conductivity, and more.
The bucket is made from PETG, a tough, lightweight plastic that stands up to bumps against rocks and railings, won’t warp in summer heat, and is easy to clean between sites. It’s built for the realities of field work, from muddy creek banks to icy bridges.
A few tips from us: give the bucket a quick rinse with water from your site before taking your sample, so leftover water from your last stop doesn’t mix in. Toss it out away from structures so you’re sampling the water and not what’s collected along the edges. And always put safety first by staying behind railings, keeping an eye on traffic, and sampling with a buddy when you can.
Specifications: 250ml bucket, 20m of rope, 445g total weight.
